Regular ping pong is like a fun party. Lob Pong is the after party! There's a point in the evening where it's time to mix it up and start dialing in some cups.

Lob Pong is not far removed from regular doubles ping pong. There's a higher bar (i.e. net), cups are added to the game and that's about it. The dynamic changes enough to be fun and different, but not too much.

Finding opponents to match your ping pong ability is difficult. Having to hit over the Lob Pong bar slows the game a bit so the expert vs. good vs. average mismatches aren't as obvious... but if you suck you suck, we can't help with that ;)
